Therapy for Professionals in Indianapolis & Across IN, MA, & NY.
Succeed without sacrificing yourself.
On the outside, you’re the one who has worked hard, checked the boxes, and achieved the dream.
On the inside, you’re wondering if this is really what you signed up for.
Much of your life has been organized around achievement—doing what was required, meeting expectations, and proving that you belong where you are. While this drive has helped you succeed, it can also create a constant undercurrent of pressure, self-doubt, or fear of falling short. Over time, the line between doing your job well and measuring your worth as a human being by your performance has started to blur.
You may notice that work takes up more mental and emotional space than you want it to, even outside of office hours. Saying yes feels easier in the moment than expressing your limits…but easier for who? You know that the culture of your workplace will probably never change, but the cost is starting to feel undeniable—exhaustion, resentment, and a sense that other parts of your life are being neglected.
No amount of optimizing or pushing through has helped you stop...
Feeling on edge before presentations, meetings, or evaluations, even when you’re well prepared.
Second-guessing whether you truly deserve to be in the room, despite your credentials.
Feeling like your personal life always takes a backseat to work, and spending the time you are at home replaying conversations with colleagues or decisions you made and worrying how you came across.
Hesitating to delegate because it feels easier to do it yourself than risk it not being done “well enough.”
Telling yourself you’ll slow down when you reach the next milestone, but moving the goalpost when you get there.
Wondering whether this pace is sustainable—and whether it’s worth feeling totally disconnected from your life and relationships at home.
HOW I CAN HELP
Therapy that understands the pressure you’re under—and respects your ambition.
In our work together, we’ll take a thoughtful look at how your relationship with work has been shaped by your family, professional culture, and the broader expectations placed on high achievers. We’ll explore your beliefs around productivity, success, and self-worth, and how these ideas may be keeping you overextended or anxious even when you’re doing well. We’ll also explore the day-to-day issues you’re facing in the workplace, and talk about how you can create change for yourself even when the circumstances around you may be inflexible.
I’m not here to tell you what to do with your career, but to collaborate with you to find relief from the stress you're under—through a lens that’s grounded in your real-world context, not lofty ideals.
Sessions often include building practical skills like assertiveness and boundary-setting, and gradually practicing them in ways that feel realistic for your role and environment. We’ll also find ways to ease performance-related anxiety with tools like deep breathing and relaxation techniques. And to cultivate more balance, we’ll make space to reconnect with parts of your life that may have been sidelined for your career.
Along the way, we’ll keep checking in about what feels meaningful to you, and how your relationship with work can be more sustainable and aligned with who you are.
Your worth isn’t measured by productivity alone.
Let’s redefine success in a way that lets you have a meaningful career and be a whole person.

FAQs

I often work with professionals in demanding fields, including attorneys, physicians and residents, engineers, academics, professional athletes, and others navigating high-pressure careers. Many are early in their careers or a few years out of graduate school, feeling burned out, overwhelmed, or questioning what they’ve worked so hard toward. I’m familiar with the culture and expectations of these environments, and how they can impact mental health.
-
Absolutely. We’ll explore where imposter feelings come from and how they’re reinforced in high-achieving environments. Over time, therapy can help you build more confidence, self-trust, and flexibility in how you see yourself and your abilities.

I work with professionals in these kinds of careers all the time. It’s part of why I don’t take insurance: insurance companies require a documented mental health diagnosis to justify the work we do, and that diagnosis is marked on your record. In working with me, our conversations are 100% private and confidential, and I never release any information you share to third parties.
-
Yes. Together, we’ll look at how work has come to dominate your time and energy, and how to reconnect with other parts of your life—relationships, rest, interests, and identity. Many clients find this helps them feel more well-rounded and grounded overall.
-
Yes. We’ll work on skills to help you cope with anxiety symptoms, address performance pressure, and reduce the constant sense of being “on.” Over time, you can develop the ability to show up more confidently and effectively at work, and anxiety will no longer be driving every decision. Along with seeing improvements at work, you may also notice improvements in how you feel at home as well.

No—my role isn’t to tell you what decisions to make. Therapy is a space to explore what’s working, what isn’t, and what you want moving forward, without pressure or judgment. Some clients choose to make changes, while others focus on setting boundaries, redefining success, or relating to work differently. I’ll be there to support you through this process and whatever path you choose to move forward.
